a Dreadful yet Necessary topic...

Weight.
(silent yet awkward pause)
This posting will send me on a massive emotional roller coaster...
The subject of:
Skinny vs. Fat
Healthy vs. Unhealthy
Pretty vs. Ugly
Are all very self loathing topics to talk about.
Let me start off by saying that even the girls you think are gorgeous have major insecurities too.
We, as the female gender, spend so much time and money trying to live up to these ideas of what society says are beautiful.
Personally, I just want to be comfortable with who I am and what God has given to me.
It all starts with positivity.
Things I've told myself and decided to turn into positive thinking...
I wish I had colored eyes vs. I have super long eyelashes
I wish I was much thinner vs. I have a large enough chest to look good in a bathing suit top
I wish my stomach was flatter vs. I have a great sized butt
I wish I was tanner vs. My lighter skin looks great with red lipstick
All of these things I've told myself I chose to turn into positive thinking.
I truly believe when you are comfortable with yourself you will look even more beautiful than you ever thought imaginable.
Be who you are, there will never be another gorgeous girl like you!

Color My Life With The Choas Of...well...Color

what makes an girl happy?
a new bottle of nail polish!
What makes a girl even happier?
LOTS OF BOTTLES OF NAIL POLISH!
every time I have an outfit picked out I always use the complete opposite color of nail polish.
Red Outfit = Blue Nails
Green Outfit = Purple Nails
Blue Outfit = Pink Nails
(you get it now)
bright colored nail polish has been a vice of mine lately. especially green!
patterns and sparkle add pizzazz to any manicure.
Here is my collection and some of my personal favorites of the moment...

Accessorizing At It's Loveliest...

ready to dive right in?
I always seem to have trouble trying to pair necklaces with different tops. But I came up with one simple rule that helps me with all my top and necklace dilemmas.
Rule Of Accessory:
If it's a simple top use a statement necklace.
If it's a statement top use a simple necklace.

A simple white v-neck from Forever 21 paired with a statement House of Harlow necklace makes an otherwise simple top look more fashionable.

This star top by Equipment is a statement blouse and looks best with a simple coin necklace by Forever 21. A patterned top shouldn't be over powered by a chunky necklace because it takes away from the pattern of the top.
Let's talk bracelets, shall we?
I've been really into neon lately and got a hold of these neon green bangles. If you are wearing simple colors such as white or tan pairing neon can really add more color to a casual (let's go grocery shopping) outfit.
These bead bracelets from American Eagle have been kind of my obsession. I always pair these bracelets with my rose gold watch (that's another post...coming soon) and a summer dress. It's a great way to add color to your wrist. They also have delicate little charms on them.
and finally a unique yet odd combination I've been loving. Sparkle and Leather. Some might fall in love with this or completely hate it but it's a simple mix of the two materials. I have this beaded sparkle bracelet that I love to wear and I paired it with a leather bracelet. I wore them with a leather jacket I had. The combo of the sparkle and leather would look great with a red leather jacket (officially on my "TO BUY" list).

keep your standards high and your HEELS higher...

high heels.
the best and worst invention ever created for women.
they hurt like hell after about 15 minutes but, damn, they're just so awesome!
Shoes make or break an outfit. If my outfit is kind of (for lack of better terms) Dull,
I always rely on heels to boost my outfit, height and confidence.
because let's be honest, heels make any woman feel more feminine.
Here are some of my personal favorites from my own closet haven...

Forever 21 Multi Glitter Pumps- $16.99 <What a steal!>

Relationships: Movies vs. Real Life?

I am a firm believer in love and Channing Tatum, obviously.
After every romantic movie the number one phrase every girl says is:
"Oh my gosh, that only happens in the movies."
I've come to the conclusion that real life isn't nearly as exciting as seeing two gorgeous people fall in love from beginning to end on the big screen.
The moment where Rachel McAdams runs to Ryan Gosling in the rain in the movie we've all cried to, is only something us common ladies dream of.
Channing Tatum telling Amanda Seyfried that he loves her in Dear John is nothing but fantasy.
A lot of these movies set up unrealistic expectations for girls around the world.
Even when you do have a cute moment with a significant other comparing it to the big screen, it almost seems insignificant.
The dream of Ryan Gosling running up to you in the rain declaring his love for you is only a dream.
And then I got to thinking, where do the writers for these romance movies get their ideas?
Real Life.
